Five Years–Nantucket, MA

Five years ago today, I was in that pre-wedding prep mode (much too early in the day, thanks Catholic upbringing)–blueberry muffins, face mask, hair, make-up, dress, uncomfortable shoes, maids, Flaggship, navy and green, a sandwich and a Coke.  Then onto photos, antique car, Dad, Mom, lush peony bouquet, arched doorway, happy aisle, beaming groom, seersucker, sweaty ceremony, confident vows, first kiss, angelic singing, kilted bagpiper, cobblestone handshakes and hugs, more photos, Kir Royales, golf cart, lighthouse, gorgeous tent, stellar dinner, Life is Goods, At Last, to die for sunset, orange lemon cake, pants-splitting, Dirty Dancing, singing, Irish dancing, keg, friends, late night cornhole.  Friends and family in one place. Smiling so much that my face hurt.  Married.

Small details.  Big memories.  Happy 5th to my hubby–we’re celebrating in Bermuda–here’s to many more!
