Photographing the ocean is fascinating because it is always changing–the color, shape, form, and atmosphere. Combine that with a photographer’s freedom to play with shutter speed and camera movement (both employed here) and the creative possibilities of pattern and shape are endless. I love how the crashing waves and sun streaked sky take on a painterly quality when allowed to “live” on the sensor for one to two seconds. Try to find the art in your surroundings this weekend… Happy Friday!
