Here’s a little adventurous image for your Friday. I took this from the front seat of a makuro (local dug out canoe made of one piece of wood) just after being absolutely drenched in a rainstorm. A makuro is almost like a gondola in Venice–the guide pushes off the bottom of the shallow delta river with a long pole. After this excursion they told us that hippos (who surprisingly kills the most humans in Africa) and crocodiles (also pretty dangerous) were just lurking around us. I was pretty psyched that they told us this after the fact. I used this image for the wrap around cover of an album I made and I love the way it literally leads you in to the book. I hope you have an adventure filled weekend!
