Central Park Fall Family Session–New York, NY

This top picture is a favorite that I captured this fall–it’s everything I aim for in family photos–kind of casual, everyone genuinely laughing, interacting with each other and less concerned with looking at the camera, and so on. Don’t you love it? I have known this Australian family in passing since we moved into our current building, and now am happy to call them friends rather than just people that I see in the elevator! Their three boys have such a great relationship with each other, it was very easy to photograph and interact with these young gents! The older two are also so polite and sooo kind to their little baby brother.

We ended up with one of the final days to photograph the foliage in the park, as it snowed two days later and most of the leaves fell off the trees. I love the golden light and baby Charlie’s yellow vest (and curls!!) echoing the fall color. One of the best things about this session was the parents’ willingness to get in front of the camera and take some couples photos! Parents usually want to hang behind the scenes unless absolutely necessary and this was so refreshing!

A, B, T, J, and C, I loved working with you all and look forward to the next one!
