Everybody knows that I heart Boston. And I heart my clients, Meghan and Mike (who also really really love each other). So put that all together with a glorious spring day, mix in a fun wedding party, and you get a spectacular wedding. The first time I spoke with Meghan on the phone, I felt like we instantly connected, and I was so honored that they chose me to record their big day.
Meghan and Mike live right in the heart of Boston, and their wedding reflected their love of the city. After their joyful first look, we kicked off the wedding party photos at the gorgeous Public Garden, where tulips bloomed and trees were finally starting to bud. We also set up on and around the bridge where the happy couple got engaged, and a few swan boats passed under the bridge as we took photos. Though it was crowded, the wedding party got lots of Bostonian love as people shouted “Congrats! Love your dress! You look gorgeous!” and took out their iPhones to snap the scene of 14 attendants and the happy couple.
We proceeded to their stunning church in the South End, where the organist memorably played “Here Comes the Bride” twice (causing lots of smiles), and after a beautiful ceremony, everyone boarded Boston Super Duck Tour buses to head to the reception. The Seaport Hotel and World Trade Center is right on the water with amazing views of downtown Boston, and provided some wonderful backdrops for our photos. From the hilarious entrances of each bridesmaid/groomsman combo to the meaningful toasts and the non-stop dancing into the night, their reception exuded love, fun, and the importance of friends and family.
Meghan and Mike, you were so relaxed and fun throughout the day; it was a joy to work with you. I hope Hawaii was fantastic and I’d love to see you soon!
